About the Course

The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is designed for those who are either currently in, or about to enter the construction or civil engineering industry.

Duration: 1 day 

Pre-Requisites: Delegates must have a good understanding of the English language in both verbal and written formats. 

What Will the Health and Safety Awareness Course Cover? 

• Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
• Accident reporting and emergency procedures
• Risk assessments 
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Manual handing 
• Working at height 
• Working with electricity
• Fire prevention 
• COSHH Regulations

How Is the Course Assessed? 

Delegates Will take a written test once learning is complete.  A minimum pass rate is applicable to tests.

What Will I Receive on Completion? 

A CITB-accredited certificate, valid for 5 years.  Alongside the Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives, this course deems the delegate eligible to apply for the green labourer’s CSCS card
